Halwill Station Building
This model is based on the now demolished Halwill Station building.
It is made from a main shell of plastic card, with inner strengtheners for the walls and roof.
The windows and doors are specific for this buildings, designed by me and cut using a Portrait Silhouette machine.
"Stu was at pains to provide a real likeness for the station building at Halwill I had commissioned, despite the client not providing an actual drawing, and worked to multiple contemporary photos. He was concerned that basic interior details - largely invisible in normal operation of the model - be realistic, too. It is and remains the focus of the scene at that end of the station, and I was delighted by his work."
